How accessible this website is
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
This website uses HTML5 and the currently widely supported subset of CSS3. It uses JavaScript, but does not require JavaScript to be usable and accessible, except for the online shop, which does require JavaScript.
All of our pages use the Google reCAPTCHA technology in the ‘contact us’ forms. This uses a text area which isn't properly labelled for accessibility. We haven't been able to fix this because the content is generated by Google code and is outside our control. Our contact form includes a phone number and email address as alternatives in case this is a problem.
There are currently some accessibility issues with our online shop. Parts of its complex forms are not fully labelled for accessibility in screen readers. We are endeavoring to fix these issues and expect it to be fully compliant with WCAG guidelines by the end of 2019.
How we test our accessibility
We regularly check our pages with HTML validators, and test in different browsers. We use the Pa11y tool to test each of the different page types we publish for WCAG AA level compliance. We have tested our pages using the NVDA and Orca screen readers.
